Photos: Easter Monday brings Richmondites out to take cherry blossom pictures

A Richmond News cherry blossom photo contest closes on April 7.

The warmer weather and a day off brought Richmond residents to the Larry Berg Flight Path Park in droves to take pictures by the cherry blossoms on Easter Monday.

While some frolicked in the falling petals that looked like pink snow, others enjoyed a picnic or took family and pet photos. One bride and groom were at the park to get wedding photos taken.

Richmondites have a few more days to submit photos to the Richmond News' cherry blossom photo contest.

The News has four tickets to Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery for any showing between April 13 and 20 at Gateway Theatre for the winner.

In order to enter the contest, we are asking readers to submit their single best cherry blossom photo, taken in Richmond, until April 7.

Only one entry per email address will be considered.

We will pick the best photo entry at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 8.

Email your photo, along with your full name and daytime phone number to [email protected]
