The Richmond Chamber of Commerce held its Annual General Meeting on April 25.

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce announced on Friday it has elected Jason Tse as the new chair of the board.

Tse has worked as the manager of cargo development at Vancouver Airport Authority since 2019. He is also the principal advisor for Maple Business Advisors and executive director of BC Chapters at Maple Business Council.

Previously, Tse worked at the Business Council of British Columbia as executive director of business development.

"As a long-time resident of Richmond who works in our community as well, I really look forward to working with our extremely talented and experienced board and staff," said Tse in a statement.

"We live and work in a community that is so diverse in terms of culture, demographics and industries, unlike any other in North America. As we come towards our very exciting 100th anniversary of the chamber, it will provide us a great opportunity to both celebrate and reflect upon our past and set ourselves up as the foremost location to conduct business for the next 100 years.”

The chamber also elected Cila Kwong from RBC Insurance as vice-chair, Lisa Wong from Lauren Financial as corporate secretary, Fan Chun from Dr. Power Global as treasurer and Theresa Rawle from Vancouver Fraser Port Authority as executive-at-large.
