An accident is causing delays on Russ Baker Way on Sunday.

Two patients were sent to the hospital on Sunday afternoon after a vehicle crash in Richmond.

BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) responded to a call shortly after 3:30 p.m. on April 21 of a motor vehicle incident at Russ Baker Way and Cessna Drive, right outside of Richmond Fire Hall No. 4.

Two ambulances with paramedics provided treatment to two individuals who were then taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to a BCEHS spokesperson.

Richmond RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Adriana O'Malley confirmed there were three vehicles involved in the collision.

"The driver of a grey Honda Civic drove out of their lane and rear-ended a second vehicle which then rear-ended a third vehicle," said O'Malley.

She added two vehicles were not driveable and were towed from the scene.

Richmond Fire-Rescue and Richmond RCMP were on the scene directing traffic, which was cleared by 5 p.m.
