The finalists have been announced for the 17th annual Richmond Sports Awards.

Overseen by the Richmond Sports Council, the program recognizes athletic excellence, leadership and contribution in the past 12 months and beyond.

The categories include: High School Female Athlete, High School Male Athlete, Junior Female Athlete, Junior Male Athlete, Post Secondary Female Athlete, Post Secondary Male Athlete, Adult Female Athlete, Adult Male Athlete, Senior Female Athlete, Male Senior Athlete, Athlete with a Disability, Special Olympic Athlete, Female Youth Team, Male Youth Team, Adult Team, Official, Coach and Administrator.

The winners will be announced at the Richmond Sports Awards banquet, Thursday, May 5 at the McMath Secondary School Rotunda.
