Candidate: Tamás Revoczi
Riding: Richmond-Bridgeport
Party: BC Green Party
Occupation: Science/Technology Project Coordinator
Where do you live (city)? Richmond
Top priorities for Richmond
My campaign focuses on sustainable community development, improved public transportation, and policies that support families and small businesses.
Past achievements
I’m a cancer survivor and a physical and mental health advocate, which has deepened my commitment to accessible healthcare and robust support systems for all British Columbians. For nearly three years, I have been the President of the Sea Island Community Association, where we successfully bring people together to address local issues and drive positive change. Very recently, we successfully worked with the City of Richmond’s Mayor and Councillors, as well as YVR to advocate for an exemption from the recently released Provincial legislation (Bill 47) which would impact the Sea Island community.

4. Do you support Truth and Reconciliation with B.C.’s Indigenous population?
YES, in fact, with the Sea Island Community Association we recently launched a Truth and Reconciliation Library in our Sea Island Community Hall with the help of Chief Sparrow of the Musqueam Nation. The Richmond News published a wonderful article about it.

We believe housing is a basic human right; a place where individuals, families and communities can live in security and dignity, not a tool for generating profit. As BC Greens we will: Introduce legislation to formally recognize housing as a fundamental human right; Develop housing specifically for families, students, essential workers, seniors, and people with disabilities to meet the diverse needs of communities; Build 26,000 affordable rental units annually through targeted investments in non-market housing providers and housing cooperatives; Protect Existing Affordable Housing Stock; Partner with municipalities to meet housing development targets and reward successful communities by sharing a portion of property transfer taxes.
15. Should the market be allowed to determine rents? NO
16. Do you support reverting to a bridge plan to replace the George Massey Tunnel? DIDN'T ANSWER
