BC Votes 2024: Advanced polls now open in Richmond

Starting today, Richmond voters can place their votes early for the upcoming provincial election.

Advanced voting for B.C.'s 43rd Provincial General Election begins on Oct. 10 and stretches over six days.

Polling stations in Richmond and across the province are open from Oct. 10 to 13 and from Oct. 15 to 16. They will be closed on Oct. 14 for Thanksgiving.

Elections BC has sent "Where to Vote" cards to every registered voter in the province. The card lists advance voting places in the voter's electoral district and their assigned voting place for the final voting day on Saturday, Oct. 19.,

Voters are encouraged to bring their cards when they head to polling stations and must provide their identity and residential address by showing an acceptable ID or are being vouched for.

Advanced polling locations for Richmond are as listed:

Richmond-Bridgeport

  • Canadian Martyrs Parish Catholic Church at 5771 Granville Ave. (Oct. 10t o 11, Oct. 15)
  • Peace Mennonite Church at 11571 Daniels Rd. (Oct. 10 to 13, Oct. 15 to 16)
  • Thompson Comm Centre at 5151 Granville Ave. (Oct. 12 to 13)

Richmond Centre

  • A.R. MacNeill Secondary School at 6611 No. 4 Rd. (Oct. 10 to 13, Oct. 15 to 16)
  • Richmond Secondary School at 7171 Minoru Blvd (Oct. 10 to 13, Oct. 15 to 16)

Richmond-Queensborough

  • Hugh McRoberts Secondary School at 8980 Williams Rd.(Oct. 10 to 13, Oct. 15 to 16)
  • Bethany Baptist Church at 22680 Westminster Hwy. (Oct. 10 to 13, Oct. 15 to 16)

Richmond-Steveston

  • Hugh Boyd Seconday School at 9200 No. 1 Rd. (Oct. 10 to 13, Oct. 15 to 16)
  • Steveston Comm Centre at 4111 Moncton St. (Oct. 11 to 13)
  • Steveston United Church at 3720 Broadway St. (Oct. 15 to 16)
