Richmond is gearing up for the final voting day of this year's provincial election.
Advance voting closed on Thursday, Oct. 16, and now voters will be able to cast their ballots during final voting day on Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. – voting locations can be found on voter cards or on Elections BC’s website.

A total of 18 candidates have registered in Richmond’s four ridings:
Richmond Centre
- Hon Chan - Conservative Party
- Dickens Cheung - Independent
- Sunny Ho - Independent
- Henry Yao - BC NDP
- Wendy Yuan - Independent
Richmond-Bridgeport
- Glynnis Hoi Sum Chan - Independent
- Linda Li - BC NDP
- Tamás Revóczi - BC Green Party
- Charlie Smith - Independent
- Teresa Wat - Conservative
Richmond-Queensborough
- Steve Kooner - Conservative Party
- Errol E. Povah - Independent
- Aman Singh - BC NDP
- Cindy Wu - Independent
Richmond-Steveston
- Kelly Greene - BC NDP
- Jackie Lee - Independent
- Michelle Mollineaux - Conservative Party
- Elodie Vaudandaine - BC Green Party
Almost 24 per cent or 33,829 registered voters in Richmond have already cast their ballots across the four ridings.
As of Oct. 7, there were 142,837 registered voters in the city, according to Elections BC advance voting results.
Unregistered voters can register on voting day. Voters must be Canadian citizens, 18 or older, and a resident of B.C. since April 18, 2024 – ID must be presented at the time of voting.
