Why are you running for federal office?

I'm running to protect Canadian sovereignty, enhance the livability of our country and to eradicate climate disasters caused by human pollution by moving to sustainable energy practices.

What is your professional background?

Most of my career was in civil engineering, now I'm retired and driving for TransLink part time, acting and some casual work in computer-aided drafting. My political background involves nothing more than volunteer boards in non-profit organizations.

If elected, how will you ensure you are available to your constituents?

My email and office phone will be published far and wide and will be responded to. I'll host in-person town halls, coffee chats and simply talk to people on the streets.

What are your top three campaign promises?

Protect Canada against antagonizing world powers, increase the livability of the average Canadian and make sure the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, and to protect our environment by implementing sensible alternatives to our polluting ways.

How will you and your party approach the changing relationship with the United States?

In February, the Green Party of Canada published it's Protect Canada doctrine and called to uncouple CAF from U.S.-owned/reliant weapons systems, train military, paramilitary and civilian bodies to defend our resources, build up ammunition reserves, and unify all Canadians in as many ways as possible.

With threatened annexation by the U.S. president, do you and your party support an increase in defence spending?

Absolutely. The Green Party of Canada is tougher than most people think.

How will you support Richmond businesses and citizens in the face of uncertain economic times?

By continuing to promote the Buy Canadian movement, divesting from any foreign trade where tariffs are weaponized and fortifying/rebuilding our good nature with China.

Given the housing crisis, what should be done to get homes built faster?

Stop allowing corporate flipping of housing, or any flipping for that matter, supporting the construction of co-op housing and to "launch the biggest public housing construction program since the 1970."

How will your party support renters?

By building public housing and redefining what affordable housing is so that is no more than 30 per cent of a person's income. Removing REIT's and other corporate interests from rental ownership.

How will you and your party improve income support for seniors and people with disabilities?

The Green Party of Canada has in principle and priority knows "that caring for each other makes our whole society stronger." No specific funds are yet cited, but removing the $30-701 billion that are given to big oil companies will be distributed in a fair, needs based ways in both funds and services for those in need.

Canada's overdose epidemic is a national crisis. What will you and your party do to combat this crisis?

The Green Party of Canada proposes "a patient-centered approach to care" where an individual that wants to get off drugs will get help, a criminal will go to jail and a drug user that just wants to continue drugs will be admitted to a supervised site where their use can be monitored at all times where no poison drags can obtained. Note, I do not support safe injection sites unless they are in-patient facilities.

How will your party improve the health-care system and support provinces to bring in more family doctors?

The Green Party of Canada will make universal health care inclusive of health care, dental care, mental care and addiction. We need to make it easier for doctors trained abroad to come to Canada and be fast-tracked into practice, and our citizens should have their college paid for in return for dedicated professional practice after they become doctors.
