Liberal leader Mark Carney will make an election pit stop in Richmond on Monday evening.
Both Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre and Carney have been on the West Coast over the past few days as the federal election ramps up.
The Carney event in Richmond is a Liberal rally, and local Liberal candidates will be in attendance.
Today is the last day for candidates to register for the federal election, and a final list will be published on Wednesday, April 9, according to Elections Canada.
All four major parties, the Liberals, Conservatives, NDP and Greens, have announced candidates for Richmond's two ridings, Richmond Centre-Marpole and Richmond East-Steveston.
The People's Party of Canada has also registered a candidate, David Wang, in Richmond Centre-Marpole.
General voting day is on Monday, April 28, with advance voting from April 18 to 21.
Registered voters should receive a voter information card in the mail with information on where to vote in advance polls.
If the information on the card is incorrect or you didn’t receive one, click here to check your registration, register or update address information. Voters can also call Elections Canada at 1-800-463-6868 or 1-800-361-8935 (TTY) for help.
Voters can also register when they go to vote. To find your election day or advance polling station, use the online Voter Information Service.
