Canines seek forever homes in qathet region

BC SPCA-Powell River has a few dogs up for adoption, plus a few new cats

BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Powell River has a few new cats up for adoption, plus a few canines in need of new homes.

One such potential dog adoptee is a three-year-old female, cane corso-kuvasz mix named Stella, described as a social-butterfly. Then there is Sally, another three-year-old female, cane corso, described as playful and affectionate. Serina, is also a female three-year-old cane corso looking for a forever home and is described as young at heart and full of energy.

All three dogs will grow to be quite big and since they were traditionally bred to be working dogs, they need lots of activity. To find out if one of them might be the right fit, take the SPCA dog pre-adoption questionnaire: spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire.

An eight-year-old black and white cat named Oreo is now up for adoption at the local BC SPCA. Oreo is described as a laid-back and affectionate feline friend, with just the right mix of independence, cuddle and charm. To find out if Oreo or another feline would be suitable as a companion, fill out the SPCA cat pre-adoption questionnaire: spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire.

There are more than 30 animals awaiting adoption, according to branch manager Tara Daniels. All of the animals are looking for their individual homes with a human companion in the qathet region.
