HALIFAX — Dyllan Gill's goal at 17:46 of the third period snapped a 1-1 deadlock and lifted the visiting Moncton Wildcats to a 3-1 win over the Halifax Mooseheads in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action on Monday at Scotiabank Centre.
Vincent Collard and Markus Vidicek (empty-netter) also scored for the Maritimes Division-leading Wildcats (41-9-2-0), who outshot the hosts 29-17.
Shawn Carrier scored for the Mooseheads (17-29-6-1), who led 1-0 after the first period but were tied 1-1 heading into the third. Netminder Jacob Steinman stopped 26 shots for the hosts.
