A new apocalyptic thriller TV series is set to film in Steveston next week.

According to the Steveston Merchants, TV series Radio Nowhere -- a production based on Stephen King's novel The Stand -- will be in Steveston on March 9.

The Stand is about a deadly flu that wipes out most of the world's population and survivors must choose between following one of twoindividuals.

The 10-episode series is set to air in 2020, according to IMDb.

Radio Nowhere previously warned Vancouver residents of their "highly-visible" graphic content when it was filmed in Gastown late last year. It is not known how graphic filming will be for their shoot in Steveston.

The cast of Home Before Dark, a detective series, will be returning to film from March 4 to 6.
