Vancouver Coastal Health has added two more Richmond schools on its online list of COVID-19 exposures in the region’s schools.
According to VCH, an exposure occurred at Steveston-London secondary on Dec. 17 to 18.
Meanwhile, there was an exposure at Richmond Christian School – a private school near Williams Road and Railway Avenue – on Dec. 18.
A school exposure occurs when someone with COVID-19 was in the school during their infectious period.
However, the health authority says that, in the “vast majority of cases,” there is no transmission of the virus in the school setting. Rather, the “majority of COVID-19 transmission is within households.”
