There has been a COVID-19 exposure at another Richmond school.
The exposure occurred at McNair secondary on June 7 to 10, according to Vancouver Coastal Health’s school exposures webpage.
Anyone identified as a close contact of a case is contacted directly by public health and asked to self-isolate, according to VCH. People who have not been contacted by public health do not need to self-isolate.
As of June 10, 71 per cent of children aged 12 and up in Richmond have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the BC Centre for Disease Control’s COVID-19 surveillance dashboard.
Meanwhile, across B.C., 74.1 per cent of that age group has received their first dose as of Monday.
Other recent school exposures in Richmond occurred at Anderson elementary (June 4), Hugh Boyd secondary (May 31 and June 1 to 2), Richmond Secondary (May 31), Palmer secondary (May 27 to 28) and Walter Lee elementary (May 27 to 28).
