Safety upgrades will disrupt traffic near the intersection of Cambie and No. 5 roads starting Wednesday until the end of 2024.
From July 17, traffic at the intersection will be reduced to one lane per direction with no left turns, according to the City of Richmond.
The disruptions will take place on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays, as needed, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Drivers are advised to take alternate routes and access to properties will be maintained.
ICBC crash statistics show the intersection at Cambie and No. 5 roads had 227 crashes between 2019 and 2023, the highest number of crashes recorded along Cambie Road.
