Results are starting to come in from polls across Richmond’s two ridings.
Thirty-three of Richmond Centre’s 188 polls have been counted, with Conservative candidate Alice Wong currently in the lead with 49.6 per cent of the vote.
The Liberal’s Steven Kou follows with 27.9 per cent of the vote, and NDP candidate Dustin Innes with 15.2 per cent.
Ivan Pak, the People’s Party of Canada’s candidate, has 1.1 per cent of the votes counted for Richmond Centre and Francoise Raunet with 5.7 percent.
Independent candidate Zhang Zhe has 0.5 per cent of the vote.
In Steveston-Richmond East, results have come in from 55 of the riding’s 184 polls.
Conservative candidate Kenny Chiu has 42.2 per cent of the vote, followed by Liberal incumbent Joe Peschisolido with 34.2 per cent and NDP candidate Jaeden Dela Torre 15.6 per cent.
Independent candidate Ping Chan has 1.1 per cent of the vote and Nicole Iaci, the Green candidate for Steveston-Richmond East has 6.9 per cent of the vote.
