The NDP candidate for Richmond Centre has taken a break from campaigning because of a medical issue.
Colleen Glynn, president of the riding association, said because of “circumstances beyond his control,” Dustin Innes has taken a step back from his campaign, but she said he will hopefully be back on track within a week or two.
Innes is vice-president of CUPE loc. 718, and has worked as a lifeguard and supervisor at Richmond pools.
Yesterday, Innes posted to Facebook that he had cancelled an event “due to a recent incident/injury. More information to come soon,” adding that the campaign is “currently on pause.”
Glynn said the NDP candidate doesn't plan to have a campaign office for the Oct. 21 election campaign.
