Dinesty Dumplings is opening a food court location in Richmond Centre.

A well-known and long-time soup dumpling restaurant is opening a stall at the food court inside Richmond Centre.

Dinesty Dumpling House is expected to open in the space between Subway and Umi. The space is currently surrounded by construction boards.

The Shanghainese restaurant opened its first location in 2006 on Ackroyd Road, near No. 3 Road.

It became known for its open kitchen with a large window, which allowed diners to watch the making of its famous soup dumplings, or xiao long bao.

In 2013, Dinesty expanded to Robson Street and, later the same year, it opened a retail store in Continental Place, which offers Dinesty's frozen pre-packaged dumplings and other food.

Two years later, a Burnaby location opened followed by another Richmond location on Gilbert Road in 2019.

The original location on Ackroyd Road closed in 2022 and was replaced by Dinesty Lite, which operated for two years before closing.

Currently, Dinesty has three restaurants and one retail store, with the food court stall coming in the future.

Details about the food court location's opening or offerings have yet to be shared.
