Japanese pork cutlet restaurant opens in Richmond

Saku, known for its Japanese fried pork cutlets, or tonkatsu, is opening its first Richmond location.

A popular Vancouver tonkatsu restaurant is soft opening in Richmond today.

Saku, known for its Japanese pork cutlets, is the latest addition to the food scene near Richmond's Walmart.

Items on the menu include various deep fried items such as pork, shrimp and chicken thigh, cheese katsu and udon. Each katsu set comes with unlimited refills for soup, rice and shredded cabbage.

Vegetarian options are also available.

This will be Saku's fourth location, with two in Vancouver and one in Burquitlam.

According to the restaurant's social media post, special promotions will be available during its soft opening.
