A Japanese coffee chain is opening Metro Vancouver's first permanent store in CF Richmond Centre.

% Arabica is taking over the former Starbucks location inside the Richmond mall, found on the first floor near the escalators to the food court.

The coffee chain was founded in 2013 in Kyoto and has since expanded to 24 countries with more than 100 locations.

Arabic opened its first B.C. store in July 2024 in Whistler Village as well as a pop-store in downtown Vancouver.

The shop's menu includes espresso-based drinks including Spanish latte, Kyoto latte, matcha latte as well as espresso macchiato.

An opening date has yet to be announced.
