Richmond's dessert scene has a new addition coming this fall.

Uncle Tetsu, known for its fluffy Japanese cheesecake, is opening in Richmond's Aberdeen Centre at 4173 Hazelbridge Way.

The shop is taking over Spirit Tea's unit on the main floor at the main entrance on Hazelbridge Way.

This is Uncle Tetsu's third outpost in B.C. after Burnaby's Metrotown and Vancouver's Robson locations.

On the menu are cheesecakes in three flavours: original, matcha (green tea) and chocolate. It also has madeleines and cheese tarts on the menu.

The opening date of Uncle Tetsu has not yet been announced.
