Several Richmond businesses are taking part in a month-long ice cream festival in June.

Seven Richmond businesses are participating in the second Vancouver Ice Cream Festival starting in June.

The festival, organized by Noms Magazine, is running concurrently from June 21 to Aug. 5 throughout Metro Vancouver.

More than 25 ice cream parlours, gelato shops and cafes across Metro Vancouver are taking part in the festival to make sure community members are staying cool this summer.

Richmond's returning participants include Soft Peaks Ice Cream, J Squared Ice Cream, Matcha Cafe Maiko and Milkcow Cafe.

New Richmond businesses joining the festival are The Praguery, Daan Go Cake Lab and Bubble Queen.

“We're thrilled to bring back the Vancouver Ice Cream Festival for the second year," said Jason Yeh, founder of Noms Magazine and organizer of the festival.

"Last year we had an amazing turnout and we’re so excited to see more people come out, enjoy the special creations and support the local food businesses.”

The list of items per business will be released closer to the festival date.
