Richmond library event celebrates summer reading club kids, teens

Richmond Public Library is hosting a free event to celebrate the end of summer.

On Sept. 8, the library is having its summer Reading Club Finale, which celebrates the reading successes of almost 4,000 children and teens participating in the annual reading club.

The event will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Brighouse library with hands-on, literacy-themed activities and games for everyone.

Everyone who participated in the Summer Reading Club will receive a completion medal.

Eligible participants can pick up their medals from Aug. 28 until Sept. 8 at any Richmond Public Library branch.

No registration is required for the event.
