Police in Burnaby are looking for witnesses and dashcam video of a crash that sent a 64-year-old pedestrian to hospital in "critical condition" Sunday.
Emergency crews were called to Hastings Street and Rosser Avenue just after 5:35 p.m. for reports a pedestrian had been hit by a five-ton truck, according to a Burnaby RCMP news release.
The truck had reportedly been travelling west on Hastings Street and was making a southbound turn onto Rosser Avenue when the collision occurred, the release said.
The pedestrian, a 64-year-old woman, sustained "serious injuries," according to police.
The driver of the truck remained on scene and has spoken to investigators.
Burnaby RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team is investigating.
