Special note returned with the local residents' wallet

A note was attached to a Richmond students' wallet, which was returned after it was lost on Friday morning.

Most people dread losing their wallet and IDs along with it, but one Richmond mom is hoping her message of thanks reaches out to the anonymous resident who returned her daughter’s wallet.

Karen Larson’s 17-year-old daughter had dropped her wallet on her way to catch the bus for school on Friday morning.

And like many people who lose their wallets, the student was in a panic.

“It had all her ID in it and she was so worried that it was lost for good,” said Larson.

However, a “beautiful anonymous neighbour” had found the student’s wallet and returned slipped it back into their mailbox with a note.

“Hi – I found this at the side of the road on Gen. Currie. I dropped it off at your address,” reads the note.

Larson said her daughter breathed a sigh of relief when she got home after school and found that her wallet was returned.

“Your thoughtful act resonates ten-fold in these times we are in right now, again, thank you so much,” said Larson.

“Karma will always make its way back.”
