Cherry blossom season is around the corner with the pink-flowered trees slowly making its appearance across Richmond.
Every year, the City of Richmond hosts a Cherry Blossom Festival to celebrate the arrival of spring and the blooming flowers at Garry Point Park where 255 Akebono cherry blossom trees are planted.
This year, the festival is taking place on April 2, but that doesn't stop Richmondites from exploring and taking photos of the beautiful flower beforehand.
Here is a list of the best places to take photos of the cherry blossoms in Richmond this year:
- Garry Point Park
- Grant McConachie Way
- Minoru Chapel
- Larry Berg Flight Path Park
- Middle Arm Dyke Trail on No. 1 Road, between River Road and Westminster Highway
- Riverport Sports and Entertainment Complex
