The "stars" came out on the dance floor of The Grand Ballroom Saturday night in support of the Richmond Hospice Association.
Seven local celebrities and their dance instructors raised a total of $30,000 at the second annual Dancing with the Richmond Stars event.
Hospice association executive director, Pat Miller, said she was delighted with the response to the event and that supporters can still make pledges until the end of the month.

"It was a magical evening," Miller said. "It was fantastic to see the support for all the dancers.
The pairing of celebrity Karina Lapalme and dance instructor Alexandr Cherdanstev were judged to be the winners on the night.
Winners of the people's choice award - for the duo who raised the most money from pledged donations - was the team of local realtor Lynda Terborg and her husband Richard.
Together, they received pledges for $5,800.
"I think you have to say the hospice was the big winner on the evening," said Lapalme who is the director of human resources for the City of Richmond and performed the samba to Madonna's song Masterpiece. "We were lucky enough to be the judges' choice."
Lapalme admitted she had butterflies before taking to the dance floor.
"There was the anticipation and wanting to get through it without tripping over my feet," she said laughing.
Other local celebrities taking part were Georgina Patko of Georgina Patko & Associates, Rick Duff of Edgewater Casino, Richmond Hospital's Fanny Ng, and Air Canada pilot Terry David.
Funds were also raised through ticket sales to the event.
The money raised will be directed towards the association's programs.
While this year's event has just concluded, Miller said plans are in the works for a third annual competition in 2014.
