Well-known Richmond singer, Charlotte Diamond, is returning to Lansdowne Centre this Saturday, Nov. 23, for her 25th holiday concert to celebrate Santa’s return next weekend.
She will be joined by Hug Bug Band members, Linnea Good on keyboards and David Jonsson on drums, to perform some of her old favourite songs as well as seasonal hits for this year’s “holiday delight” theme.
“It is an opportunity to meet friends (and) to see how their families have grown,” said Diamond, adding that she is always excited to be able to perform in front of everyone.
“I really like the opportunity to get people to come together and to feel good about the holiday seasons.”
Every year, Diamond encourages families to sing along to her songs like “Leave the World a Little Better” and the “Zulu Carol,” which families can listen to on her website.
Her teachings and performance focuses on community inclusion, which awarded her the Special Distinguished Service Award from the BC Music Educators Association (BCMEA) in "recognition of exemplary commitment, talent and leadership for music education in British Columbia" at a conference in Richmond on Oct. 25 and 26.
The concert will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 in the kiosk court at Lansdowne Centre.
