Glass bottle and jar recycling are resuming in Richmond this week.

The City of Richmond announced that its regular roadside recycling/recycling pickup of glass items will resume on Monday, Dec. 13.

Glass bottles and jars must have their lids removed, emptied and rinsed, and then placed in residents’ grey glass recycling bin/cart.

Richmond’s Recycling Depot on Lynas Lane is still not accepting glass or foam packaging recycling at this time.

The City of Richmond halted its glass and foam recycling when its facility was underwater due to the severe storm in mid-November.

The province was under a state of emergency after a severe storm last month brought heavy rains, flooding many areas in southern B.C. and causing mudslides and road washouts.
