Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (RCRG) is searching for a coordinator to help run the program at their new Family & Friend Caregiver Hub which is expected to launch this spring.

The coordinator position, known as the caregiver navigator, will be responsible for developing and supervising the services provided by the program, and connects caregivers to the city’s healthcare and social service networks.

The hub will offer resources and support for Richmond seniors who care for another older adult for free.

Resources that caregivers will have access to are peer support, educational and recreational workshops, online resources, and other services in both the English and Chinese languages.

“What’s exciting about this role is that you get to build something from the ground up,” said Carol Dickson, manager of RCRG’s senior community support services.

“It’s about creating new supports for caregivers,  while serving as their guide in navigating the healthcare system.”

The deadline for applications is Feb. 7. For more information or to apply visit www.rcrg.org
