The impact on mental health by social isolation and loneliness during this pandemic is of great concern to many Canadians.
And because of COVID-19, BEYOND The Conversation is taking its third annual de-stigmatizing Walk & Talk to End Social Isolation event virtually on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The event commences with an action-based walk (conducted individually, where attendees will walk their preferred distance on their own) during the week from Oct. 19 to 23 and concludes with a virtual celebration on Oct. 24, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Organizers expect that day will be packed with stories from local communities from across the province, as they share experiences on coping with the recent pandemic that gave more meaning and depths to social isolation, loneliness and mental health problems than ever before.
Registration is now open at

Beyond the Cnversation is a grassroots non-profit society that was established in 2016 with the goal of ending social isolation in Greater Vancouver through friendship and community.
