Richmond will be celebrating Family Day with a variety of events and activities on Monday.
Family Day, celebrated on Feb. 20, is a day for families to get active, create and connect while enjoying time together.
The City of Richmond has more than 60 free or low-cost family-friendly activities throughout the city from free dance classes, sports, a pancake breakfast, scavenger hunts and art activities.
All city activities require registration online.
The McArthurGlen Designer Outlet also has a couple of activities taking place as well.
Here is a list of free things happening on Monday:
- Pet rock making and mini gable house decorating at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet (12 to 4 p.m.)
- Big red scavenger hunt at Britannia Shipyards (online)
- Pancake breakfast at Cambie Community Centre (9:30 to 11:30 a.m.)
- Drop-in family and hockey skating at Minoru Arenas (12 to 3 p.m.)
- Hawaiian dance workshop for 55+ at Cambie Community CEntre (11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
- Eco arts activities at the Richmond Nature House (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
- Yoga and fitness classes at Thompson Community Centre (11 a.m. to 12 p.m.)
- Special family movie events at City Centre Community Centre (1:30 to 3:30 p.m.)
- Richmond Children Arts Festival at Lansdowne Centre (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
