From lurking spiders to oversized bats and owls, Richmond Nature Park's free annual Halloween Hoot is returning this month.

The park's pond trail will be lit up with Halloween-themed decorations every day between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Oct. 19 to 27.

Visitors can expect more than 30 inflatables, 10 nature-themed art installations and a spooky tickle tunnel.

Pumpkins will also be for sale with proceeds benefiting the Richmond Nature Park Society.

Renovations for the park's Nature House have also been completed with various wildlife and pumpkin displays.

A gourd of pumpkin is on display for visitors to guess its exact weight. The visitor who can guess the closest to its weight will win it.
