Those wishing to support animal charities this Christmas can visit Club OpenRoad’s annual "Pet Photos with Santa" event at the Richmond Auto Mall.
This year’s edition will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1 between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. at OpenRoad Acura Richmond and MINI Langley.
The community is encouraged to bring their pets to these locations and take pictures with Santa. With a minimum cash-only $25 donation, attendees will receive a digital and printed holiday copy of their pictures.
Pets ranging from cats and dogs to lizards and porcupines are all welcome to attend, said Club OpenRoad manager Håkan Williams in a release.
Non-profits the Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary and Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS) will be at the event to collect donations and engage with attendees, with funds raised supporting both of these organizations.
OpenRoad Foundation will also donate $5,000 to each charity.
Those wishing to attend are encouraged to make a booking online to avoid waiting, but drop-ins are also welcome.
“Supporting the community is at the heart of what we do,” said OpenRoad foundation manager Shea Studler, adding this event highlights the important work of local animal charities.
Over $22,500 have been raised for B.C. animal non-profits throughout Pet Photos with Santa’s five-year history.
