Two major bus routes in Richmond began stopping on Ackroyd Road near No. 3 Road this week to give people access to the shops and businesses in the area.
The terminus stops for the 406 and the 408 were temporarily moved to Ackroyd Road on April 22, 2019. TransLink spokesperson Daniel Mountain said the decision followed community feedback collected by the City of Richmond.
There’s ongoing construction in City Centre, Mountain added, so the stops are temporary until that wraps up. Once things have calmed down, the city and TransLink will decide whether the new terminus stops will be permanent.
