One scheduled power outages expected in Richmond this winter holiday

There are a number of power outages planned for Richmond this week

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work on Nov. 13 and 15 of this week.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.

Here is the power outage scheduled for the upcoming winter holiday:

Dec. 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 10940, 10951, 10960, 10968 and 10971 Dennis Cres
