Several areas of Richmond will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here are the power outages scheduled for this week:
Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect five customers at:
- 7960 Alderbridge Way
- 5551 and 5651 No 3 Rd.
Jan. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect five customers at:
- 4231-4280 Danforth Dr.
- 11260 Danforth Gate
Jan. 22 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Transformer replacement work will affect 11 customers at:
- 10511, 10551, 10571, 10591, 10611, 10620, 10631, 10640, 10651, 10660 and 10671 Sceptre Cres.
Jan. 25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 301 customers at:
- 23100 Garripie Ave.
- 23380, 23451, 23471 and 23491 Gates Ave.
- 5151 to 5631 Mccoll Cres.
- 4280 to 5700 Smith Dr.
- 23200 to 23531 Gilley Rd.
