More than 100 community members in Richmond braved the cold to walk and raise awareness about people experiencing hunger and homelessness.
Chimo Community Services held the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser on Feb. 24 where 125 participants walked either two-kilometres or five-kilometres to support local charities helping those in need during the chilly season.
A total of $25,567 was raised between 22 teams with team Linda Stein raising the most with $2,700.62.
