Richmond News reader Avery Wang captured an unusual sight along the West Dyke Trail on Wednesday morning.
It appears that logs were blown by last night’s wind storm along a small walking path on the West Dyke Trail, he said, adding the logs weren’t there yesterday morning.
Winds of up to 91 km/h were recorded at Vancouver International Airport during the storm, according to the Weather Network.
In a “before” photo (fourth photo in the gallery above), the logs can be seen in the marsh in the top right of the image. However, this morning, logs were strewn along the trail for several metres just past the Steveston Highway/West Dyke Trail platform.
