The long-awaited Lunar New Year celebration at Lansdowne Centre has returned, much to the delight of community members.
Hundreds of Richmondites and local dignitaries gathered at the Richmond mall on Saturday afternoon to enjoy the festivities.
Many staked out spots to enjoy the opening ceremony and subsequent performances, but long lines were also spotted in front of various stalls showcasing cultural crafts and fun activities.
Lion dancers also visited tenants around the mall to bring good fortune for the new year.
The annual event is organized by the Richmond Chinese Community Society, a volunteer-based organization, in collaboration with TD Bank.
