The rain held off Sunday afternoon, making for a lovely Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival in Garry Point Park.
Steveston village was packed with people going to look at the 255 akebono trees in full bloom.
Alongside the beautiful flowers were food trucks, performances and activities to intruduce guests to Japanese culture.

This Sunday April 7th, visit the Cherry Blossom Festival at #Steveston’s Garry Point Park. Celebrate the Japanese-Canadian culture brought to the community by the fishermen, cannery workers, and boat builders who first immigrated here in the late 1800s-early 1900s. pic.twitter.com/d4EDOXivbg
