A constant stream of vehicles was seen at Richmond RCMP’s sixth annual toy drive fundraiser on Saturday.
Ed Gavsie, president of Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (RCRG), said this year’s toy drive was “one of the most successful” they’ve ever had despite a change in venue.
A large Platinum Pro Claim Restorations step van as well as the RCRG vehicle were “filled to the brim” with toys donated by the community.
“To all of you who dropped by to take part or drive-through to donate thank you for your support,” said Gavsie.
The toy drive is one of the Richmond Christmas Fund’s biggest events to help collect toys for low-income families with children so they do not miss out on the winter holidays.
