Richmond is seeking public feedback to develop a Tourism Master Plan.

How should the City of Richmond and Tourism Richmond encourage visitors to the city?

The City of Richmond and Tourism Richmond are creating the city’s first tourism master plan, and they’re asking for public feedback.

Starting Thursday (March 13) until April 30, Richmond residents can drop by pop-up events or go online to give their opinion on what this plan should entail.

The plan is being developed in collaboration with the Richmond Hotel Association.

In addition to asking for public feedback, the city is also consulting businesses and tourism operators to assess the city’s destinations and opportunities and identify key priorities for tourism in Richmond for the next decade and beyond.

Tourism Richmond CEO Nancy Small said they’re “delighted” to develop a “shared roadmap” for tourism.

“Successful visitor destinations plan ahead with the close involvement of their local community, since desirable places to live are also appealing places to visit,” she said.
