The Richmond Firefighters Charitable Society held a golf tournament earlier this year to raise money for youth mental health and they aim to make next year's event even better.
Their first charity golf tournament raised and donated $50,000 to Foundry to support increasing youth counselling services in Richmond.
They also donated an additional $10,000 was to Foundry for youth day trips.
To beat this year's record, the society is looking for sponsors interested in supporting next year's tournament.
Alex Babalos, spokesperson with Richmond Firefighters Charitable Society, said it was important to the society that funds raised by the community stay within the community.
"We wanted to accomplish this by helping to reduce the barriers and improving access to resources for youth mental health in Richmond," said Babalos.
"Hopefully, we can help fund a part-time counsellor at the Foundry for two years that will greatly reduce wait times for youth and afford them access to free counselling."
Next year's tournament will take place at Tsawwassen Springs Golf Course on May 29 with funds to also benefit Foundry.
