Did you manage to see the rare annular solar eclipse that took place on Saturday morning?
Richmond resident Richard Topping snapped a photo of the rare astronomical phenomenon at around 10 a.m. as it peeked through the clouds.
A shadow of the moon can be seen obscuring the sun through a blanket of clouds as the moon passed between the Earth and the sun.
The eclipse peaked at 9:20 a.m. and community members were able to spot the phenomenon through cloudy skies, which began to clear up despite rainy forecasts.
