Fresh produce and artisan products will still be for sale this summer in Steveston – just a bit farther west.
The Steveston Farmers Market will be moving from its central location across from the community centre to Garry Point Park for the 2025 season.
The market, which launches on May 11, used to be held at 4320 Moncton St.
But with the new Steveston Community Centre under construction across the street, the lot will be used to support community centre and library programs, according to the city.
The market will be in Garry Point Park on 7th Avenue between Chatham and Moncton streets.
The market runs on select Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Market dates for 2025 are:
- May 11 and May 25
- June 1 and June 15
- July 13 and July 27
- Aug. 17 and Aug. 31
- Sept. 14 and Sept. 28.
Steveston Farmers Market is run by a volunteer committee under the not-for-profit Richmond Agricultural and Industrial Society.
Money raised from the market goes toward activities and projects at the Steveston Community Centre.
