By organizing and hosting independent community events that benefit our cause, these organizations are truly making an impact for patients.
One of our longest-standing partners is the Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club. Their members have been fundraising for Richmond Hospital Foundation since 2001, just two years after the clubs inception. Through various fundraising initiatives, their dedicated volunteers have raised over $125,000 to date towards better local health care.
Perhaps its not surprising when you consider Lions Clubs members work together in the spirit of Lionismto make a positive impact, create harmony, and improve the lives of those in need. As supporters of Richmond Hospital Foundation, many Lions Clubs have helped further our efforts to purchase vital medical equipment, improve patient care programs, and upgrade facilities at Richmond Hospital.
What makes the Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club such a pleasure to work with is that they put the Lions motto of We Serve into action, and they have a lot of fun in the process. At their recent entertainment and fundraising dinner at the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport, Club President Lucy Quinn, Event Chairs May Ho and John Pak, and club members put in endless hours of work to treat attendees to a night of food, fun, and dance all for a good cause.
Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Clubs hard work certainly paid off. Because of their leadership and dedication to our Foundation, their event raised over $15,000 to help us save lives and improve the quality of health care in Richmond.
As Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club continues to flourish, we at Richmond Hospital Foundation look forward to continuing our partnership and seeing their leadership continue to take flight in our community.
