Several areas of Richmond will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here are the power outages scheduled for this week:
Feb. 23 from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 159 customers at:
- 23200 to 23531 Gilley Rd.
- 5151 to 5631 McColl Cres.
- 5001 to 5700 Smith Dr.
Feb. 25 from 12 to 3 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 11 customers at:
- 3260 to 3391 Bowen Dr.
Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 32 customers at:
- 23251, 23280 and 23288 Fraserwood Way
Feb. 28 from 12 to 6 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 15040 Williams Rd.
