If IKEA hotdogs and cinnamon buns weren’t enough, Richmond’s location and stores across Canada have launched a new vegan frozen treat for visitors.
In 2018, the Swedish furniture store saw the rising consumption of meat and dairy as a global concern and announced they will "ambitiously" create a plant-based frozen yogurt after having launched their veggie hotdogs.
Fast forward two years, and they have fulfilled their promise.
IKEA is now introducing their plant-based strawberry vegan frozen treat which is available for $1 at their stores’ bistro for takeout.
This treat is made with strawberry puree and, according to IKEA, it has half the carbon footprint compared to its dairy-based cousin..
