It’s time for the return of the Richmond Night market this week and with it, a plethora of food stalls, vendors, live entertainment and midway games.
Opening night is Friday, May 10 and the vibrant tradition will be open weekend and holiday nights through Oct. 14.
This year’s theme is “summer chill party,” and the selection of international cuisine has expanded to 120 vendors with over 600 food items. Also new this year, barbecue chicken and salmon will be served in addition to the popular summer seafood feast.
Individual tickets are $4.75 per person and entry is free for children under the eight and seniors aged 60 and older. Or, for an express pass, six people can beat the line and get in for a slight discount at $28.
The night market is open Friday to Sunday 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. until Sept 2. After Sept 2 and on all statutory holidays, Sunday hours will change and the fair will close at 11 p.m.
