DanceSport BC is bringing its 30th annual ballroom dance competition to Richmond this weekend, showcasing high ranking dancers from around the world.
On Oct. 27 and 28, dancers will descend on the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel to show off their talent in a variety of ballroom styles.
New this year are ladies’ single events for all ages, mix proficiency student and teacher events and “rising star” events featuring three types of dance, slow foxtrot, Viennese waltz and the paso doble.
“Come and celebrate the artistry and athleticism of Dancesport and a fresh, engaging experience with our community,” says the event’s webpage.
“If there is a wonderful ballroom dance competition to attend, it will be the Snowball Classic.”
Tickets range from $30 for daytime passes to weekend passes up to $179.
